REAL WOOD INVITATIONS

Please use this form to get a price quote for your invitations. Select any options that interest you if you’d like to see them on your mock up. Any changes can be made later during the proofing phase, even if it affects cost. You’re not locked into anything until you approve your proof for print, and your final invoice will reflect only the items you approve.

  • MAIN INVITATION CARD

Wood cards are flexible and can be mailed just like a regular cardstock invitation. Our .025″ thick 2-ply birch wood veneer is flat-printed using semi-transparent ink, which allows the wood coloring will show through the printed portion. Expect colors printed on wood to appear darker and less vibrant than if printed on white cardstock.

Real wood veneer sheets will have variations to grain patterns and coloring, just like you'd find in nature!

  • BACKERS & FOLDERS

  • Backing layers can be added to flat cards or added behind your invitation that's mounted inside of a folder.

When adding a backing layer attached to a wood card, the wood card will be printed on 1-ply paper-backed wood veneer to reduce thickness without compromising a genuine real wood appearance.

  • REPLY CARDS

Reply cards are used to gather any info that you need from your guests, like asking who's attending, meal selection, dietary restrictions, song request, attendance for additional events, transportation & lodging info, etc. Postcards are an economical option often used for casual events. For a more elevated presentation, we recommend a reply envelope.

  • ADDITIONAL CARDS

Additional cards are used for any information you'd like to include with your invitation, but do not want printed on the invitation itself. Details cards typically include travel & lodging info, dress code, parking info, wedding website, etc. You do not need a separate card for each category, we can combine all on one card, typically titled "the finer details".

For additional events, like rehearsal dinners, welcome gatherings, post-wedding brunch, where possibly only a portion of your wedding guest list will be invited, plan for including a separate card for these events so you can select which guests will receive it. Quantity for these cards can be adjusted prior to print approval.

  • ADD-ON & EMBELLISHMENTS

Would you like to add any of these optional add-ons or embellishments? If you're unsure, select whichever interest you and we'll add them to your design proof. If you change your mind, you may remove any items prior to approving for print.

  • VIEW RIBBON COLORS

    • SATIN RIBBON •

Double-faced satin ribbon means it's smooth and shiny on both sides of the ribbon.
Satin ribbon is available in 7/8" or 1.5" widths, sold on 50-yard spools. 100% Polyester.

    • DUPIONI SILK RIBBON •

Dupioni Silk makes an elegant, modern statement; featuring jewel-toned shades of soft, shimmering ribbon with a touch of brush-stroke texture. This 100% silk luxury ribbon is available in 3/4" or 2" widths, sold on 40-yard spools. Dupioni silk ribbon bias-cut, meaning it has a little bit of stretch to it when pulled taught. Seams do exist throughout the length of the spool, so you may need to round up on your yardage if you wish to cut around seams.

  • CALCULATE RIBBON LENGTH

HOW TO CALCULATE RIBBON LENGTH NEEDED

Ribbon can be tied around your invitation, or use as a band secured with a wax seal.
Please note, tying a bow or knot can cause a bump in your envelope which can increase postage costs or possibly damage the invitation as it passes through the mail. Because of this, we typically recommend boxed invitations if you wish to include a ribbon bow.

For ribbon bands, estimate 1 foot per invitation. For bows, estimate 2 feet per invitation.
Satin ribbon spools are 50-yards, providing enough ribbon for about 150 bands or 75 bows. Dupioni Silk* ribbon spools are 40-yards, providing enough ribbon for about 120 bands or 60 bows.

*Dupioni Silk ribbon is bias-cut so it has a little bit of stretch to it, and it also has seams intermittently throughout the spool which may cause some waste if you want to cut around the seams.

  • QUANTITY & ORDER TOTAL

Enter the quantity of invitations you plan to mail plus about 10-15% extras. When estimating your quantity, remember:

    • Invitations should be mailed to everyone who's invited, even if you already know they're unable to attend. If you sent someone a save the date, and they told you they're unable to attend, you should still send a formal invitation.
    • Invitations are mailed to households, not individuals, so your quantity should be less than your total guestlist. If you haven't started your address list yet, estimate your invitation quantity by calculating about 60% of your guest count.
    • If your guestlist may grow, order more extras. 10-15% extras usually accounts for any that may get lost in the mail and need to be re-mailed.

  • OPTION A: Ready to begin your order?

Submit this form and follow the steps on the next
page to submit your $200 design retainer payment.
Once your payment is received, we’ll reach out to gather the remaining details we need to personalize your proof.

    WHAT IS A DESIGN RETAINER?

    WHAT IS A DESIGN RETAINER?

The design retainer payment secures your spot on our design calendar and allows us to begin design work for your order. This payment is not an additional fee; it is subtracted from your order total on your final invoice. The design retainer payment is essentially a portion of your order paid upfront to cover our design time during the proofing phase in the event that you do not move forward with printing and final payment.

Once you approve your order for print, we’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance, minus the $200 you’ve already paid towards your order as the design retainer.

If you have a change of plans and are unable to complete your order within the general scope of this form, the design retainer is non-refundable and is considered payment for any design work we’ve provided during the proofing phase of your order.

    CAN I MAKE CHANGES LATER?

    CAN I MAKE CHANGES LATER?

Yes! You can make any changes, even those which affect your order cost, up until
you approve for print. We’ll work back and forth through the proofing phase with
any changes you’d like to see until everything is perfect and you approve for print.

Upon receiving your print approval, we’ll send your final invoice accounting for any item additions, subtractions, or quantity changes made during proofing. Your order will be sent to print upon receipt of your final payment.
